Fire Calls For Carlisle Home Then Machine Shop Fire
Two fires were reported with firefighters called to F. E. Carlisle residence on a Friday evening with no damage. The following Tuesday evening a blaze destroyed Jacob Mann’s carpenter and machine shop on North Indiana, destroying machinery and an auto truck. Mann had some insurance.

Automobile Stolen From Washington and Illinois Corner
A roadster owned by Comer and Seemee Car was stolen Wednesday last week from the Washington and Illinois streets corner in Indianapolis where it had been left by Orville Templeton while he dined nearby. The thief abandoned the car several miles east of Indianapolis near Philadelphia, removing tires and tools, leaving the blanket and Templeton’s overcoat, with the radiator water started and burst and one tire punctured.

New Location for Bank Moves to Main and Indiana Corner
The Piret National Bank has purchased the southeast corner store at Main and Indiana, now C. F. Wartsen's drug store. After Min Wuatseen relocates, the bank will remodel the space for banking use. The corner is one of four main business centers in town, previously a general store for many years.
