Gym dedication sparks school notes and basketball results
On Friday December 31 the new gym and community building were dedicated. The M H S girls lost 20 to 3 to Brownsburg in the opener, Center Grove beat Monrovia 17-9, and Monrovia topped Center Grove 16-3 in the second half. Elks Alumni game favored the Elks 27-14. Pittsboro visits Friday to face M H S as teachers discuss more break time.

New gymnasium and community house dedicated at Mooreville
The new gymnasium and community house on the school grounds were opened with a dedication ceremony last Friday. The 100 by 75 foot building seats 1200, features a 70 by 45 foot basketball floor, a 30 by 16 stage, arches of wood, and portable seating for audience and plays. A building fund reached $10,000 with early loans from Virgil Self and others, and receipts will cancel high school athletic debts as control transfers to Mooreville and Brown township authorities.
