Roy Carter and family returned home after holidays with parents. Mrs Mollie Passmore and Miss Lithe Dean visited J A Carter, gifting her birthday cake and candy. many cards arrived for her 824th birthday. Weather records mark a cold spell with subzero days and heavy snow. A. M. Carter's family hosted New Year dinner. Dr P McNabb attended Mooresville Town Board meeting.
A detailed report shows the Pennsylvania Railroad Employes Relief Fund has paid out $29,571,266.72 since formation. In November the fund disbursed $129,452.75 on the East of Pittsburg Erie lines, including $62,178.13 to families of deceased members and $76,979.32 to incapacitated workers.
A Mooresville page reports visits by Miss Ruth Weik of Brazil and Miss Hazel Shaffer of Waverly, grocery ads for Day's, family updates, sales offers, and a burglary spree. Bloodhounds failed to track the thief after three homes were entered and items worth a few dollars were taken.
Last Saturday morning the funeral services for Fred Johnson were held at the M E church conducted by the pastor W Anderson. Fred was a boy and young man with sterling qualities and will be missed by many friends. The Morgan County Farmers Institute under Purdue University School of Agriculture will convene at Mooresville on Wednesday and Thursday January 18 and 19 1911. E M Kinney secretary and James A Barnett vice chairman both of Mooresville planned the event.

Alva A. Dinwiddel of Indiana sues William Smith of Mooresville for 5000 damages in Morgan Circuit Court. Dinwiddel claims Smith alienated his wife’s affections, causing separation and a broken home. His wife is in Indianapolis. their eight year old daughter remains with Smith. Dinwiddel was employed by the U S government on the Panama project. Attorney J M Bishop filed the suit. Will H Pigg represents Smith.
A widow and her two young sons are being moved to more comfortable quarters on South Street. Citizens who wish to donate anything to help the family may leave word at Geon Scruges' store. All contributions will be gladly received by order of the Committee Chairman.
