Deacon T Dubbs to Be Staged by Mooresville Chapt Op E S

Mooresville Chapter Op E S presents a play titled Deacon T Dubbe featuring Prof. To bin of Valley Mills in the lead. Cast includes Prof. Earl J. Tolin Darrell Thompson and Evan Wagaman with music by Marie Tolin and Mrs. Earl J. Tolin. Proceeds fund a room in the Masonic home at Franklin. The school auditorium hosts the December 18 performance with seats urged early.

Automobile Turnover Injures Indianapolis Couple

On the Brooklyn road Sunday evening Fred Jones and his wife were in an auto that struck gravel, left the road, and overturned at the south corporation line. Both were pinned under the car. Mrs. Jones suffered a leg fracture and shoulder bruise while Mr. Jones had head and shoulder injuries. Fellow motorists freed them, they received surgical care from Drs. Manker and Brackney, then were taken to Indianapolis in Carlisle’s car.

Library notes announce food value study and exhibits

The library promotes food value books purchased with public funds and lists pamphlets from the food administrator. Two art exhibits, prints from Michael Angelo and Rockwood pottery, are on display. A Red Cross Fair next Friday and Saturday will not close the library but reading will be impossible.

Man Killed by Interurban Car Near White Lick Creek

William Dow aged 78 was killed Monday evening after being struck by an interurban passenger car near the east White Lick creek bridge northeast of town. He lived on East Main. A son and daughter survive. Funeral at the Christian church Thursday morning.

Mrs Melissa Robbins Dies At Home After Long Illness

Mrs Melissa Robbins wife of the late Dr Clark Robbins died at her North Indiana street home after several weeks of sickness. She leaves one daughter Mrs Minnie Hadley and a son J A Robbins of Martinsville. Funeral Thursday at 2 pm with services at the home conducted by Rev W S Biddle. Hymns by Mrs Lille Branch Mrs Laura Magenheimer Frank Sheets and Vinton Burke. Obituary prepared by niece Mrs Pearl Lang of Brooklyn. She was 30 years a resident of Moorestown and the last of eleven Hardwick siblings. Pallbearers included Drs J S Comer, Thompson, G R Scruggs, W O Shufflebarger, David Herzog, Fred Cooper. Floral bearers listed and out of town relatives named.
