Ice cream and cake were served as the community thanks him for two years of service and notes Bengal as his new charge seven miles southeast of Franklin. Rev G M Mc Kinley will become the new M P pastor from Forest City and will preach here next Sunday.

Big Crowd Attends Morgan County Farmers and Sunday School Picnic
Morgan County drew a large crowd at Bethany Park on Friday for the Farmers and Sunday School County Picnic. By 10:30 a.m. more than 4,500 ice cream tickets were distributed and the Indianapolis Kirk-Patrick Camera Company estimated over 8,000 attendees on the grounds. Children from county towns were transported in large trucks, and organizers hope the event becomes an annual affair.

Waverly General Store Robbed Again
The Waverly general store run by Fred V. Thomas was robbed last Saturday night. A thief who worked the safe combination took about $400 in money and checks, with bloodhounds tracking the trail to a nearby home in Waverly five times. No charges have been filed. The same store was robbed last winter when it belonged to Jap Jones.
