Hill and Thompson announce a new Meat Market in the Lindsey Block on West Main Street offering fresh and salt meats lard butter eggs dressed poultry and weekly freshwater fish Saturdays. They advertise delivery anywhere in town and invite patronage with cash or trade for butter eggs and poultry.
Readings and times for Methodist Episcopal Friends and other churches include preaching at 11 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Sunday School at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Christian Endeavor and Epworth League sessions in the afternoon and evening. Prayer meetings weekly with invite to all. pastors named where given.

Section I of the Woman's Home Society hosted pink tea at Mrs Minnie Hadley's residence with about 70 attendees. The decor featured pink and white carnations and a program of piano solos duets and recitations followed by pink and white cake and ice cream. Proceeds totaled 6.60, ranking as the second largest tea by the Missionary ladies.
Mr and Mrs N Carter were surprised by relatives on Sunday the 30th. Baskets filled with dairy lunch style dinner and ice cream treated all. Attendees included Mr and Mrs Rank Jones, Mr and Mrs Frank Sheets, Mr and Mrs Vinson Williams, Harry Williams and daughter Virginia Gail, Mr and Mrs Charles Harryman and daughter Constant, Aunt Julia Harryman, Mrs Minffie Hadley and Mrs C Robbins.

Mrs. O E Rooker hosted her father Mr L C Gerlach and sisters over the weekend. Martin Gerlach of Indianapolis visited Wednesday. Mr and Mrs B F Trogden entertained guests including Mrs Sarah Brown and sister Mrs Wurmrickhouse of Melbourne Florida Mrs Jesse Milhouse of Bridgeport and Mrs E E Taylor of this place. Alden Hadley of Monrovia visited in the afternoon. All these people were in Florida the same winter and enjoyed the reunion.
Jeff T. Park and Sons have rented their 270 acre farm near Waverly to Fleener Bros of Franklin and will hold a public sale of choice livestock farm implements and feed on Wednesday August 30.
The second outdoor gospel meeting at David Farmer's home in the new addition is set for next Sunday at 3 30 p m. All welcome for a good sermon and singing to keep the Sabbath day holy. The union cottage prayer meeting at D B Johnson’s home was well attended with four churches represented. the next will be at John Bryant’s on West Washington Street next Wednesday night.
The Mooresville School Board will accept bids for three cars of coal until August 5 1911. Specifications are on file with the Secretary C L Hallam secretary.
