Ten Rhode Island Red hens and ten roosters for sale. James W. Plummer announces Chevrolet agency. Several visits, moves, and the mortgage exemption notices populate the week. Local bids, rental listings, and farm property for sale or rent also appear.
Notice to Mooresville patrons that Dr. Geo. A. Reynolds has moved to Zionsville and will administer Anti Hog Cholera Serum as needed. Contact Pittman Moore Co Serum Plant, Zionsville, Ind for service.
Miss Louise Beeler entertained her class at her Friendswood home Friday evening. Mrs Charles Evans and Miss Julia Hadley chaperoned the gathering and guests reported a jolly good time.
The Old Melodies concert held Thursday evening at the library drew a full house. The program differed in many ways from the previous one but remained pleasing throughout. About $16 was realized by the Woman's Club.
Next Sunday evening Rev and Mrs Kilburn of the Faith Home will discuss rescue work in Indianapolis among unfortunates. Two rescued women will sing for the audience. The 7 30 program invites all. Sunday morning topic is Other Religions Compared With the Christian Religion.
L. E. Ballard is consulting current and former county teachers to arrange a reunion this summer at Bethany Park. He reports broad support from those spoken to, all favoring the gathering of teachers who have taught in the county.
The library board met Monday night to approve routine bills and the librarian's report. They authorized purchasing more books and ordered lawn fixing bids, with a special committee to advertise for bids.
Fidelity Lodge of Indianapolis conferred the first degree on Mr and Mrs Clarence Fields of West Newton during a Tuesday evening session attended by about forty five visiting members. Cream and cake were served during the social hour.
Clarence Squires weds Hazel Head of Mooresville. Chester Stout of Morgan county plans marriage to Corda McKinley. Archie B. Sawyer a laborer marries Eliza E. Scott, Morgan county resident. Fred A. Lowe of Martinsville to Minnie Green, Martinsville resident.
The Likely Club formed its following year officers during a Business Day session with President Mrs Lillie Branch and other officers including first vice president Mrs Edna Macy second vice president Mrs Ella Reagan secretary Mrs Norris Hadley assistant secretary Mrs Alattie York treasurer Mrs Nettie Macy federation secretary Mrs Maro Hallam and program committee members Mrs Emma Mills Mrs Martha Scearce and Mrs Ida Thompson.
Mr. and Mrs. John Dobbins hosted a six oclock dinner last Friday with guests including Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Jackson Mr. and Mrs. Ted Brewer Mr. and Mrs. Frank Trester Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hadley Verlin tables and Sylvia Hadley. Charles Cline died of paralysis Monday at noon at his West Main street home and his remains were taken to Clayton for burial beside his wife. Surviving are his son John and daughter Eulalia of this place and three brothers in Indianapolis.
Mary C Hadley of New London Indiana president of the Woman's Missionary Auxiliaries of Western Yearly Meeting spoke at 11 a.m. last Sunday. A women’s meeting with Mrs Hadley as speaker followed at 2 30 p.m. Sunday School was at 10 a.m C E at 6 30 p.m. Preaching at 7 30 p.m. Special music morning and evening. The Thank Offering service of the W F M S was well attended Sunday evening at the M E church. Bro J W J Collins gave splendid remarks despite library board advice. $38.65 was taken at the offering. A three year old girl at the Macy home is seriously ill with pneumonia and spinal meningitis. Dr Hoskins of Indianapolis consulted.
Miss Mary Robbins, longtime public school teacher now in Muncia, will lead a class for defective children in the model kindergarten at Teachers College in Indianapolis next year. She will teach a half day daily while attending college the other half day to complete the course.
The Aid Society of the M. E. church will host a market and bazaar the Saturday before Easter on April 22. Local church members invite community help and attendance to support church work and charitable goals.
