Secretary Taft seeks a close estimate of added expenses for Congress.
Young women graduates of Anderson high school will wear white linen shirtwaists at the annual commencement at the Grand Opera house Friday evening. Sixty one graduates participate in the reform, while the young men wear dark business suits. May 31.

In Elweed May 01 George Conard invited six friends to North Twelfth Street for a card game. Police had prohibited gaming and confiscated six decks of cards and a poker chip bush. The six will face trial before Judge Zerface.
In Reynolds Illinois on May 31 Dr R M Dalzell a White County physician was riding with Clyde Weller when a storm struck. A limb broke from an oak tree toppled by an electric belt and struck Dalzell injuring him and seriously injuring Weller.
Mrs Parr Dicken, who fell from a carriage six miles north of Marion, was dragged about 50 yards through a wrecked lane after a frightened horse caused her to slip into a culvert. The incident left her seriously injured and likely fatally harmed.
Martin Gemunder secretary of the sinking fund commission reports all issued bonds totaling 840 600 will be accepted by both Boston and Chicago houses. Of this amount 40 500 allocated for the Carnegie library is accepted. He says a misunderstanding with buyers was clarified and objections waived.

During a May storm in Ambia Indiana lightning struck and killed Harold Keys seven years old son of Mr and Mrs R O Keys. He was running homeward from his uncle's residence a few doors away.
Richard Toothill and I Myers, both of Indianapolis, rode a Big Four train toward Lancaster. Toothill leaped off at Columbus edge unaware of a trestle twenty feet high. He fell into the ravine, breaking both legs, and is taken to Protestant hospital.
