Two Wallace Weinland sisters die in oil can explosion
In a farm house west of Poneto on the John Weinland farm, a crude oil can exploded while Mrs. Ethel Wallace and Miss Cora Weinland tended a fire. Both women perished, while their ten month old granddaughter survived, saved by Cora who later died. The boy escaped unharmed. Funeral arrangements were set for Pleasant Grove church.
