Charles D Gardner a long time local figure died in Indianapolis at Deaconness hospital from diabetes complications. He worked at F R Gardner hardware and was born December 25 1861 in Monticello. He married Lida Mae Straight in 1892 and left four children Forrest Leta Marshall John. He leaves two brothers and three sisters in North Dakota and Indiana. Funeral was set for Friday.
