Transcript Completed In White County Ditch Case Appeal
The county clerk and high deputies finished a 1467 page transcript for the swyeman ditch case on appeal to the Supreme Court. It is the largest White County transcript, prepared in about three weeks, covering all records and papers on file. The ditch involves thousands of acres in western White County and neighboring areas, promising substantial construction costs if built. The case was appealed after remonstrators opposed Judge Robinsed’s Frankfort ruling at the April local term. The transcript now goes to remonstrators’ lawyers for a brief to the higher court.
