It details calamities, weather, and political shifts, with references to Francis Baker and Col. Schuyler nearing recovery, and reports post office openings, shipwrecks, and executions. A brig Telegraph was wrecked near West Tortugas with all aboard saved. Four horned rams arrive from Rio Grande, and Alabama cotton varieties are discussed alongside a note on New York papers and Sicilian seed sources.
A fresh wave of hostilities leaves trader John M Knight of St Louis dead and goods looted on an ArkPol frontier outpost. Comanches, a large Texas border nation near Arkansas heads, are blamed for the attack. Spaniards retreat as the invaders roam free across Santa Fe to St Antonio corridors.
The brig Sdyll Carolina under Capt Johnson arrived from St Croix and was boarded four leagues from Sril k Passage by an armed party of six. They forced the crew to fore castle and passengers from the cabin. The captain was confined and asked for passenger keys. Pirates seized doubloons a watch part of crew clothing a spy glass and wine. They ordered the brig to be boarded by three men later set adrift in a leaky boat that sank. The pirate brig was about 400 tons with 22 guns and 30 men from various nations, many speaking English.
Report from Bastion says three Jeremie Aux Cayes natives hired a small boat and boarded the Jeremie to Petit Trow schooner Pecan from Jeremie. They robbed, massacred all but one crew, then sank the vessel five leagues from Jeremie. They confessed to earlier American schooner robbery and killing all hands. Two men already detected face execution. a third eludes capture as search continues.
New York report from Captain Allen aboard the Portuguese brig Jarvis says Bejaia remains closely blockaded by French forces, with inhabitants destitute and unable to obtain supplies. Captain Tillman notes a Martinique proclamation allowed flour and provisions for six months, while Cadiz flour prices surged. French fleet blocks Algiers and Gibraltar to shipping.
From Laguayra Capt Gardner of the Seawork Young Brutus reports the U S ship Jobo Adams Capt Renshaw lay in the roads at Laguayra. Mr Anderson the U S minister to Colombia and family were at Caraccas likely to stay until after the rainy season and depart in September or October for Bogota. The ship's destination unknown and most officers and crew had left she is fit only as a guard ship. Markets dull and the country tranquil.
From Peru comes word in the Mercantile Advertiser that 3000 Colombian troops sailed from Guayaquil toward Callao on March 20, 2000, with more expected soon. Gen. Bolivar stayed at Guayaquil awaiting Congress directions from Bogota before proceeding.

A St Barts passenger aboard the Zion reports the Bolivar reached Cadiz area as a French squadron raged on the city’s walls and Castle of St Roque. The tale suggests Cadiz may be supplied from Algesiras, though authorities doubt the feasibility of a reliable siege supply route.
