Modification of native lumber rules aids county farmers

Jones county farmers may cut logs grown on their farms and saw them into lumber up to 5000 board feet without a lumber certificate. The change, announced by the Jones county AAA office at Monticello, applies only to self grown lumber used on the same farm. Lumber from outside their own farm still requires a native lumber certificate.
