Instructions To Motorists On School Bus Stop Law Iowa

A joint statement by Miss Jessie M. Parker and Alfred W. Kahl warns Iowa motorists to learn the school bus stop laws as school resumes. With over 3100 buses and hundreds of private cars transporting children, enforcement will be strict to protect 125000 students. Buses must use flashing signals 300 to 500 feet before stopping and drivers must stop until children cross. Police will issue tickets for violations and drivers must observe the safety provisions at all times.
