James Biddell Eustis former Louisiana senator and ambassador to France died in Newport Rhode Island at his summer home from pneumonia. Funeral services set for 7 30 PM at his Eustis Avenue residence before his body is sent to New York and Louisville for burial beside Mrs Eustis. Born 1834 in New Orleans he studied at Harvard Law then served in the Confederate army. Eustis later served as US senator and as minister and ambassador under President Cleveland.
