Republican county convention to nominate local officers
The delegate convention of the Republican party of Jones County meets at Center Junction on September 1 1874 at eleven o clock to nominate the County Clerk County Recorder and one Board of Supervisors member. Delegates equal one per township plus one for every twenty votes or fraction of ten or more cast for C C Carpenter for Governor in 1873. Townships listed with delegate counts. a caucus may be held September 22 at the usual election places.
