The Jones County Farm Bureau committee met at the Farm Bureau office on Wednesday to draft the 1938 program with district extension agent Henry Ejch Ying from Iowa State College assisting. The plan will go to the bureau board for approval then be shared at township and the county meeting. Committee members include W. D. McLaughlin, W. B. Clark, Glenn G. Sones, Mrs. Bernard Cass, Mrs. Harold Hartman, Ed Helgens, Louis Lorenzen, and A. B. White.

The Anamosa Cow Testing Association lists 524 cows averaging 492 pounds of milk and 19.2 pounds of butterfat for September under official tester Delbert Mayberry. J. M. Byerly’s 16 grade Guernseys lead with 804 pounds of milk and 34.6 butterfat, while the Men’s Reformatory herd of 104 Holsteins averaged 902 pounds of milk and 30.3 butterfat.

The Jones County 4-H father and son banquet will be held Thursday evening October 21 at 7 15 p m in Mar tello. Jones County Council of Christian Education Holds 72nd Convention
About 100 Sunday school workers attended the 72nd annual convention of the Jones County Council of Christian Education held at Center Junction's two churches. Officers elected include President Mrs. A. R. Embree and secretary Mrs. Pard Miller with multiple vice presidents. Awards went to the Anamosa Methodist Sunday school for largest turnout from the greatest distance. The next event is the Older Boys and Girls conference at Monticello on November 2.
