Two Sand Springs cream trucks collide at Behrends corner
At Behrends corner in Hopkinton two Sand Springs cream hauler trucks collided around 5 am last Monday. One driver, Fred Benter, failed to turn off the highway and his truck veered into a ditch then crossed the road hitting Joe Price’s truck as Price drove to meet his routes. No injuries were reported though both vehicles suffered heavy damage.

Farm Bureau Meeting at Scotch Grove Oct 8
SCOTCH GROVE residents host the regular Farm Bureau gathering on Wednesday evening October 8 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Tolf with Mr. and Mrs. Harry Paulsen and Mr. and Mrs. Irving Eilers as assistant hosts. The girls 4 H demonstration team will perform their winning demonstration along with a talk and refreshments. An organization tea Friday featured county economist Miss Emelda Kunau as speaker and songs by Mrs. Arthur Wilcox with accompanists Mrs. Jack Zirkelbach and Miss Esther Sinclair.
