Starlighters of Monticello stage Orphan Girl at community building
Traveling vaudeville group the Starlighters presented Only an Orphan Girl a four act tearjerker at the Monticello Community building. Cast included Carol Banwell as the redheaded heroine and Albert John McNeill Wayne Jr. as the hero with Lucille Kucera and Elizabeth Young providing solo numbers. The audience enjoyed songs led by Virginia Hintz and piano by Isabelle Maire. production staff included Judy Ferring and Augusta Melsha. No tomatoes were thrown.
