The W.S.C.S. meets June 1 at 1 30 pm with Dora Winch and Mrs Gene Moulton as leaders. The West circle hosts. bake sale funds campers at Pictured Rocks. South circle elects 1961 62 officers Mrs Maurice Thompson president and Mrs Gene Thompson secretary treasurer. Various community events follow including confirmations and a high school graduation list of thirty eight students.

Cass-Cass Center Holds May Picnic and Alumni Banquet
The Cass Center school held its annual after school picnic on Sunday May 21 with nearly 70 attendees for a potluck dinner. Barbara Ralston returned home from hospital after skin grafts and William Jr. Oltmann is recovering from an injured foot. Alumni banquet at Springville school on May 20 was attended by Mrs Ralph Ralston and Mr and Mrs George B Brown. graduates from the township include John Ortgies John Tapken Doug Ralston Ronald Eden Elaine Eden Steve Brainard Larry Beescher Charles Fairbank Albert Humpal Gary White Robert Soukup and Sara Meyer.

Mrs. Howard Biere returns home from Mercy Hospital
Mrs. Howard Biere returned home Monday from Mercy Hospital Anamosa. Other Olin residents still hospitalized include Sam Tarbox Earl Coppess Mrs Icey Guhi and little Mark Valquard son. Grace Thompson attended the alumni banquet at Rhoades May 19 and visits nearby friends. Seward White of Cincinnati is visiting in Olin and Anamosa. Keith Postel and son Brian from Great Lakes Illinois weekend guests at James Postel home. Lynn Postel traveling with them to Leominster Massachusetts for several weeks. S F Emmerson Dr E P Bigger Greta Haesler and Mrs Bigger's sister Dan Boom of California were Sunday dinner guests at Rudolph Notbohm home.

Oxford Junction Commencement Exercises Celebrate 21 Seniors
May 18 commencement at Oxford Junction High School honored 21 graduates. Rev. Father Kissling delivered the invocation, Supt. Urich awarded eighth grade certificates, Sue Close read the class history, Dr. James E. Hayes gave the address, Wilbur Soppe presented diplomas, and American Legion awards went to Mary Larkey and Robert Eads. Larkey named valedictorian and Yanda salutatorian. Benediction by Dr. Pieper closed the program.
