Nominations for State Officers and Electors Ordered
On May 31 1876 a meeting was set to form the National Republican convention slate. Delegates include twenty two delegates to the convention. Eleven presidential electors will be chosen two per district. Additional candidates include two Supreme Court judges one Secretary of State one Auditor of State one Treasurer of State one Register of State Land Office and one Attorney General. Representation begins with one delegate per county plus one per 200 votes or fraction over 200 cast for Samuel J Kirkwood in 1875. Henry C Leitenroy chairman.
