Walter C. Hagen of Pasadena has been selected to captain the United States professional golf team for the International matches to be held in Worcester Massachusetts June 10 and 11. He wired his acceptance to A. L. Pirie president of the Professional Golf Association. The Americanist team roster had not yet been announced.

Carl McDowell joins Springfield from Okmulgee, Steve Toner signs with Springfield from Philadelphia semipro, Carl Eng moves to Evansville, and Mobile sends Durham and McLean to Meridian. Pensacola lands Ray Quassius and BI Plager from Mobile, Columbus acquires Emmett McCann, Jackson Keefer signs with Springfield, Jimmy O Neill inks with Wilkes-Barre and will captain. Other notes include Eddie Blackman joining Topeka, Cubs waivers for Francis Sigafoos, three Brooklyn Robins youngsters to Jersey City, Tremper’s leadership, Furman coach Billy Laval’s winning record, and Pirates prospects shuffled with Bigbee to Seattle and Clabaugh to High Point. Leftover bits mention Syracuse buying Lefty Gudat, Elwood English powering the Cubs, Walter Faust joining Dallas Steels, and three Pirates rookies dropped.
