Anamosa Iowa May 6 1930 the board of supervisors met at 9 00 am and after approving minutes named election officials for the June 2 1930 primary. Receiving and counting boards across numerous townships list judges and clerks including A O Sones Frank Snyder Ruth Metcalf H P Angard Dan E Beam and many others with duties for multiple jurisdictions.
The Jackson Linn Cedar Jones county board met May 7 1930 with all members present. A petition from Clay Mills residents to build a Maquoketa River bridge was deferred for action while agreements between county boards on maintenance of county line roads were approved and filed. Refunds were authorized for several individuals and contracts with Harry Porter for projects E-102 and E-103 were approved with signing authority granted to the chairman.
The board schedules a May 23 1930 10 am setting for projects E-13 earthwork on county road from primary No 161 through Lovell and Richland Townships involving 11000 cubic yards earthwork and 1000 cubic yards rock work plus a 60x18 foot truss bridge with concrete floor and abutments. Also sets May 23 and June 4 1930 meeting days for 9 am adjournment call.
