Twenty-first Anum State Convention of Iowa Republicans
The Twenty-first Anum State Convention of the Republican party of Iowa will meet in Des Moines on Wednesday June 27 1877 to nominate candidates for Governor Lieutenant Governor Superintendent of Public Instruction and Supreme Judge Representation is one delegate per county plus one for every 200 votes or fraction over 100 for Josiah T Young Secretary of State at the 1876 election. Jones county will have 14 delegates. The call invites all who uphold Republican principles liberty justice loyalty and constitutional amendments and the protection of rights and free schools.
