Frank W. Clampitt of New Providence Hardin County blasts Senator Brookhart for remarks on the McNary-Haugen bill claiming Iowa farmers demand a practical farm measure and oppose political maneuvers. He vows the administration should veto the bill and criticizes Brookhart’s stance. Robert Quillen notes that self regard sustains happiness.

In the district court of Town in Jones county June term 1828 Steve Petersen sues Isaiah Williams and numerous spouses and heirs claiming fee simple ownership of the east 15 of the southwest quarter of section 1 township 86 north range 4 west. Petersen and his grantors have occupied the property for over 20 years, seeking to quiet title and bar all defendants interests by statute. Defendants are notified to appear by noon of the second day of the next term at Anamosa. otherwise default and judgment will be entered. J. J. Lochner, attorney for plaintiff.
