Pocket Telephone Aids French Police On Street Duty
The French police reportedly use a pocket phone system allowing officers to contact headquarters from almost anywhere in the city. Each officer carries a small microphone device that can be hung on weather-tight terminals to instantly connect with headquarters. In England a divorce trend sees women with multiple notches in wedding rings indicating successive marriages, a sign of widowhood.
