Should Conserve Wildlife On Farms
National Wildlife Restoration Week runs March 21–27 with emphasis on wildlife conservation and soil fertility. Wildlife crops depend on soil, and practices like contouring and field borders boost food and cover for game. Farm ponds, reduced runoff silt, and proper management aid fish, game, and fur-bearing animals. Nearby Marengo reports gophers chewing cables cutting about a dozen phones out of service.
