A late winter snowstorm caused hazardous driving with multiple cars in ditches. A 1965 Chevrolet 12 ton straight truck owned by Eugene Adams overturned at 8 45 a m Monday 1 1 miles southwest of Monticello on highway 151. Driver Loren Ernest Schneider 51 Monticello. Monticello Drivers Charged After Two Accidents
Two Monticello men faced charges after Tuesday’s crashes. Thomas J. McAleer 58 failed to yield in a two car collision at North Sycamore and East Second Streets damaging McAleer 1965 Buick and Richard H. Benke 29 damaged 1959 Ford. Carl Bach 55 charged with failure to control after hitting a parked 1961 Buick owned by Louie Jamieson causing $300 damage to each vehicle. Police investigated.
