Soy bean seed a profitable crop for Iowa farmers

F B Wilkins of the Iowa State College farm crops section says soy beans planted for seed in 1921 offer strong profits. With 60 bushels of corn value, seed yields 16 to 20 bushels, and at $5 per bushel seed price, profit exceeds corn. Beans also enrich soil with nitrogen. Seed and inoculant are available from the experiment station at $9.50 per bushel.
