Farm Bureau pushes Iowa county supervisor districting plan
A petition with 1 486 signatures was presented January 9 by Farm Bureau officials calling for districting of county supervisors. The signatory total equates to 10 percent of the 9 222 voters in the last gubernatorial election. Redistricting favors may shift seats and threaten Everett Mayberry of Anamosa on the board, with districts tied to township lines and unequal populations. The board delayed action awaiting an attorney general opinion on legality and timing.
