Indiana Legislature adjourned sine die on the 11th and several vetoed bills were found defective afterward.

In Milwaukee on March 18 Hah Ding and Sam Yip Ja were examined and held in $5,000 bonds each on charges of luring young girls into laundries. The Chinatown fear worsened after a string of laundry incidents, while eviction left the men sheltered in a West Side laundry amid fears of violence. William Burgess of Minilco, Ont., vanished Monday, with property losses estimated at $50,000.
