Fire destroys Howard McBride farm home at Hazel Green
The Howard McBride farm house in Hazel Green township occupied by Lester Appleby was totally destroyed by a noon Sunday fire thought to originate from a defective chimney. The modern home valued at $5,000 with $3,000 insurance stood near Hopkinton and neighbors saved the contents. Local politics show two school election tickets with incumbents and challengers.
