Scotts Convert One Room School into Modern Home
An old rural one room schoolhouse near Monticello is transformed into a four room modern home with bath and basement. The Leamon Scott house replaces the cloak room with a dining area, installs built in birch cabinets, adds closets, tiling, anew windows, and updates walls and floors. The Scotts did most work themselves and estimate the cost at about half that of a new house.

Family dinner honors grandson Robert Richardson on furlough
Mr and Mrs John Ratcliff hosted a Sunday family dinner for grandson Robert Richardson who is on a 42 day furlough. Guests included Walter and Nancy McCorkle, Sheila Winkler, and Airman Robert King among others. Richardson will report to a New Jersey base on June 15 for duty in Germany after completing a mechanics course.
