In Wyoming a special election approved purchasing or constructing a home for the superintendent of Wyoming schools with a $6000 cap. Voters cast 125 ballots with 82 in favor and 43 against. Onslow Paul Dean Heeren elder son of Mr and Mrs Jack Heeren married Miss Helma Wierup of Maquoketa in a Sunday 3 pm ceremony at the Lutheran church. Heeren a Onslow high school graduate served in World War II and the couple plan to live on the Heeren farm in a new home.

Accompanied by Mrs. Fred Lasack and Emelda Kunan the county home economist. Theme is Learning to live in a changing World, a national 4-H guidepost. They are welcomed by H H Kildee and Ruth Streicher.
Jim Robertson son of Mr and Mrs Chauncey Robinson Monti cello is among 300 northern Iowa boys chosen for a Des Moines Register hosted four day Chicago trip June 19 to 22 He will see a Chicago Cubs game visit Field Museum Shedd Aquarium and take a Lake Michigan boat trip The trip is partly funded by his Route earnings and partly by the Register as a reward for his good paper carrier record He also works at Schultz Bros store during summer vacation Miss Fiana Schneider Cresco visiting friends and relatives in Monticello.
