Eight Die In East Side Tenement Fire
A New York blaze in an old style East Side tenement on Wednesday killed eight residents, including four women, and left eight more severely injured. More than forty others suffered less serious injuries as the fire spread rapidly after a tenant spotted flames near the locker room under the stairs and raised the alarm.
