Flood Strikes Pueblo as Reservoir Burst Causes Destruction
A cloud burst and mountain snows sent a flood through Pueblo Colorado flooding twelve blocks and threatening Miss Thompson in a hotel. An estimated up to 250 may have died though not as high as first feared. Engineers study the flood to prevent future events and possible water storage or river diversion. Monticello council of the Knights of Columbus initiated twenty nine new members at Newman hall with a detailed program and banquet. The list includes Lawrence Ament Albert Britting Patrick Britt Edward Cashen and others as initiates.
