Radicalism in Iowa politics and society discussed
A long editorial reflects on a wave of radicalism in American life, focusing on Iowa's politics around Col. Brookhart as a Republican Senate candidate. It contrasts radical ideas with fear of socialist policies, cites George Bernard Shaw and H. G. Wells, notes the death of Marion Harland, and previews a cautious optimism about farming and market conditions.
