The Sixth National Convention of the Republican Party convened at noon on Wednesday June 14 in Exposition Hall Cincinnati with capacity crowds. Gov E D Morgan presided Rev Dr Muller gave the prayer and speakers included Senator John A Logan Gen Hawley and Geo W Curtis. No ballot yet but early reports favor Blaine for president with Hay as potential running mate.
