Lux Leghorn Farms grows from nothing to regional poultry leader
The Hopkinton based Lux Leghorn Farms started in 1921 when Russell E Lux bartered and built for a $75 order of 500 chicks. Now run by his sons Bill and Bob with the help of family, the business ships 325,000 to 350,000 chicks yearly and operates four farms with 40 acres including a new automated pallet house and a modern feed mill.
