Thirty five 4 H ers from Jay county Indiana with five adults will arrive in Jones county at 5 p m Friday for a exchange program lasting through June 18 They will tour farms at Monticello and Stone City visit Wapsipinicon State Park and Cedar Rapids with host families planning activities including a Builders program and pool party before departure on Wednesday June 18 from Anamosa.

HUD banquet to gather community input on business district

Delhi Soldier Wounded in Vietnam Amputation Reported
Mr and Mrs Kenneth Bacon of Delhi learn their son Staff Sergeant Ken L Bacon was wounded in action in Vietnam on June 1. A booby trap caused injuries to his face hand and leg and his right leg was amputated above the knee.

Two Accidents at Same Spot Sunday in Iowa
Two noninjury collisions occurred five hours apart at the same junction on highway 151 near Anamosa. Merle A. Hotchkiss and Roger D. Thompson collided at 5 45 p m as Hotchkiss turned onto the highway from Dubuque road. Hotchkiss faced charges for failure to yield. Highway Patrolman Tom Toner led the investigation with assistance from the Jones County sheriff's department.

Two Dubuque Women Escape Injury In Highway 151 Crash
A West of Anamosa crash left Sharon Lepert 26 driver of a 1964 Rambler with a total loss after the vehicle left the highway and rolled over an embankment at 5 a.m. Saturday. No injuries were reported. Earlier at 12:20 p.m. Gregory D. First 21 of Monticello and Judy Mae Soper were involved in a separate sideswipe on 151 as First attempted to pass Soper turning onto a gravel road. Damage was $900 to Firsts car and $175 to Sop ers left front fender. Investigating officer Toner assisted by Sheriff Ralph Albaugh.
