Jones County Republican Convention Sets August 17 1881
The Jones County Republican Convention will nominate one representative one auditor one superintendent one coroner and one surveyor for all vacancies. Two supervisors will be chosen at the Opera House in Monticello on August 17 1881 starting at 1 o’clock a.m. Delegates are allotted by township with one for the first five votes and one for each additional 27 votes or fraction thereof.
