Peach Freezing and Storage Instructions for Home Freezers
Steps for preparing peaches include washing and scalding to loosen skins, peeling, trimming defects, and slicing into 50 percent syrup. Make syrup from five cups sugar and one quart water, dissolve and simmer, then cool. Add ascorbic acid to prevent browning and store in glass jars or tight containers. Use waxed paper strips to keep fruit submerged, and freeze promptly.
