Excellent Pheasant Crop Forecast For Iowa Fall Hunt
The State Conservation Commission projects a harvest of one and a half million cock pheasants or more this fall due to favorable spring nesting conditions. Strong brood production and good carryover from last year suggest a high bird population, with field observers noting large broods and excellent reproduction in game management areas. Hunters should secure landowner access now to ensure fall hunting opportunities.
