Fall Fashion Keynote Urges Make It Do During Shortages
Fall fashions face fabric and workmanship shortages with a push to make do. Ready to wear will add detail to old garments with belts, buttons, and simple jewelry. Wool and rayon supplies shrink and cotton deliveries may cease by June as war needs tighten civilian materials. Soil lime placement improves crop growth in plowed layers
Experiments show lime placed deeper in the soil, rather than all on the surface, enhances crop growth and root distribution. Four inches of soil shows better results with deeper application, indicating longer neutralising effects require time to penetrate the plowed layer.
