July May Be Peak Of Butter Output
Observers in the butter trade expect July to be the peak production month this year though June is usually the high point. Butter production has risen steadily but is currently running 3 to 4 weeks behind last year with four months showing 4 to 5 percent gains earlier. Strong factory payrolls and demand from butter storers underpin higher prices, though rising prices may reduce future storage buying.
