Wayne Zion Lutheran marks centennial with dual services
Wayne Zion Lutheran Church, founded June 1 1872 by 16 families near Monticello, commemorates 100 years with two June 11 services led by pastors Otto Zwanziger and Luther Wachholz and featuring Paul Tobiason. The centennial includes a 1966 church dedication, 1908 parsonage and 1927 replacement, and a pictorial history by Siebels.

To head heart fund campaign in Jones county
Mrs. Robert H Kilers will lead the 1972 heart fund drive in Jones county announced by Rex Lee Cedar Valley Heart Association president. February is American Heart Month with Heart Sunday Feb 27 setting a climax. County goal is 3425 with Mrs. Eilers aided by Mrs. Hetzler and Mrs. Dusanek. 4-H clubs and volunteers will canvass Feb 1 to Feb 27 to raise funds and share heart saving information.

Two Injured In Anamosa Car Mishaps
Two Anamosa men were injured early Sunday when their 1963 MG roadster left highway 38 and overturned after Burkey lost control on a curve. Burkey 22 was treated for head lacerations and abrasions, Truesdell 22 for possible rib injuries and released. The crash on ice occurred at 12 30 a m and caused about 1600 dollars damage.
