Dr Cooper Talks at Farm Forum on Axis Powers and American Policy
Cornell College historian Dr Russell Cooper spoke at a Farm Forum in the high school auditorium. He warned Mussolini and Germany threaten Europe while debating U S options including lend lease and direct entry into war. He argued England seeks democracy yet aims for world power, while America faces choices on aiding Britain or remaining neutral. The talk covered potential German invasion plans, Ireland, and the risk of losing democratic rights if the U S enters the war. The next speaker is Dr Walter Wilcox of Iowa State College, Jan 12, 8 pm.
