Albany January 6 Gov Morton grants Bartholomew Shea a four week respite after John McGough confessed to the crime for which Shea faced electrocution at Dannemora prison. The March 6 1894 trojan assault involved Shea and McGough aiding a polling place melee that left the Ross brothers dead and Williams Rosas injured.
An explosion at 309 Second Street in St Louis on Thursday afternoon killed six people and injured thirty one. Buildings and contents were damaged or destroyed with losses estimated at not less than one hundred thousand dollars and fully covered by insurance.
