Polo Plastics, Inc. seeks bids by March 1 for a 20,000 square foot manufacturing building in the Monticello Industrial Park northwest of the city. G. E. Liesmann says a summer plant opening is planned with 35 to 50 workers, mainly women. Final plans for the Monticello Jaycees annual awards banquet set for Thursday February 27 at the Monticello Community Building. Speaker is Mike Reilly of Dubuque a Chicago Bears lineman and 1963 All American who played for the University of Iowa and now works with Frank Hardie Advertising. Phil Gerdes will be master of ceremonies. Awards include Boss of the Year Distinguished Service and Master Grower awards.
