Iowa leads in farm labor clinics that match farmers with workers. Clinics held in Cedar Rapids at 308 Third Street Southeast on February 17 24 and March 3 10 at 10 am pair farmers with interested hands to discuss wages housing and jobs.
The Masonic school of instruction will be held at the Masonic temple February 16 and 17 with afternoon and evening sessions. William Schrope of Mechanicsville will be in charge of the instructions.
Cpl James R Paulsen of Company B 840th East Army Post Office 67 is relocated to new address care of Postmaster San Francisco California listing his unit and service details.

The Neil Sexton birthday party will be held Tuesday February 15 at 7 30 p.m. in the hall.

Pvt Kenneth D. Aldrich of Monticello has completed the Ordnance Automotive school's metal body repair course at Atlanta General Depot Georgia. Since 1941 more than 66,000 men from around the world have trained at the school in eight automotive and allied trade fields. He is the son of Fred and Ethel Aldrich of Monticello.
Mr and Mrs Gordon Keith and sons hosted dinner with Mr and Mrs Clark Dighton and others including the Dightons and Pettlony families, Jim Derr, Genniece, Maude Joseph Smith, and Debbie. Numerous visits to Monticello, Lewiston, and Cedar Rapids followed with relatives and friends at various homes and a county beef producers banquet in Monticello.
Bob Ferguson of Casey drove his automobile into a hog on the highway near Casey. The hog was killed in the crash and about 100 dollars in damage was caused to the car.
